Whole School Community Day

Once again over 700 Primary School Pupils from over a dozen local Primary Schools were not deterred by unpromising morning weather as they arrived to enjoy taking part in over 25 different activities, all run by the boys themselves. From Climbing to Mandarin, from Fencing to Chess, from Extreme Frisbee to Screen Printing to name but a few, each primary pupil was able to opt into 3 different activities during the day.

Alongside this other pupils and staff members organised and ran a Bring and Buy Sale to raise money for the three nominated charities we were supporting on the day, and a significant number completed a 19 mile charity walk, enjoying a lakeside lunch half way through at Bough Beech. Then, in the late afternoon, 5 a side football tournaments and an inter-House It’s as Knockout competition also raised further significant sums.

Planning for next year’s Whole School Community Day is already underway with a strong emphasis on a Mini-Olympiad for local primary Schools being at the heart of our thinking.
