VSU (Volunteer Service Unit, Youth in Action)

Tonbridge School hosts and helps to finance the Tonbridge Voluntary Service Unit Youth in Action. We also encourage our boys to get involved; it is important that they realise that charitable work is about giving time as well as money.

Tonbridge School provides free accommodation in The Groves Centre for VSU Youth in Action. We have sole use of the centre and use it both as an office base, for volunteer training and for youth committee meetings. The school also provides VSU with a project grant and covers the cost of our phone bills as well as giving us secure parking for our minibus. As VSU is a registered charity, this support is vital to our continuity, as the money saved on accommodation and administration can be used to provide services to local young people and Tonbridge community groups. Thank you.
