Information and Communication Technology

With some 1000 users and 600 computers in the school, it is important to provide professional support. The network is based on Cisco technology, known for its reliability, and is fed by a 10Mb internet connection. This enables us to provide a range of network services for the school community, a range which is expanding rapidly. The new Media Centre (opened in 2008) adds a new dimension to digital provision in the school with dedicated facilities for video editing, programme making and live broadcasts - which we hope can be transmitted over the network.

But at the heart of the ICT Services department is individual support for all staff and boys: sorting out computer problems; providing training; helping everyone to use computers and related equipment efficiently and confidently.
