The Summer Term will be dominated by AS examinations in the Lower Sixth, and by A2 examinations in the Upper Sixth. At various times there will also be internal revision tests and trial examinations, the results of which are important in confirming your academic progress. In the Lower Sixth, they will have some bearing on the AS and A Level grade predictions that determine your range of university options. All of these examinations are very important, and careful preparation is essential; they are all part of the process of developing your understanding of subject-matter and technique, with a view to helping you to achieve the highest possible AS and A Level grades. Many of you will also want to attend the annual Revision Party held in Cornwall during the Easter holiday of the Upper Sixth, where teachers from some departments are on hand to help you with your A Level revision.
