buildings/theatre1.jpg The E. M. Forster Theatre opened in summer 2000, and contains a main auditorium to seat about 400, a Studio Theatre, a theatre workshop, and teaching rooms.

The theatre is now linked in one complex with the Vere Hodge Centre, which gathers all the creative and practical facilities of the school into one integrated complex, designed to allow for the greatest flexibility of interaction between the various Departments, all of which have their input to the work of the Theatre.

Forster Theatre complex is designed and equipped to professional standards, with orchestra pit, sophisticated lighting and sound facilities, and an extensive drama wardrobe. The Studio Theatre offers particular opportunities for small-scale or experimental productions. In addition to the Director of Drama, the Theatre is staffed by a Theatre Manager, a professional acting and production coach, and a full-time technician.
