The David Rees-Williams Trio are a talented and extremely versatile trio who can swing effortlessly from classical to jazz. Formed in 1988 and featuring David Rees-Williams on piano, Phil Laslett on drums and Neil Francis on bass guitar, the trio bring a unique freshness to classical repertoire through improvisation and superb muscianship.
Regularly featured on BBC Radio 3 and Classic FM, they have been widely and unanimously acclaimed as one of the outstanding groups in their genre. Their performance today includes new arrangements from their recently recorded CD including works by JS Bach, Gibbons, Mozart, Parry, Pergolesi, Tchaikovski, Wesley and Widor.
