What makes the “Perfect” UCAS application?
It is crucial that a personal statement and reference convey exactly the right messages to admissions tutors for a UCAS form to be successful. This session will cover how to advise and help students with the content and tone of their personal statement, and exactly what universities like to see in the reference. Real-life examples will be used to demonstrate the good (and bad!).
Oxbridge applications and Academic Extension
Applications for competitive courses, including Oxford and Cambridge, require careful handling, and in this session the unique admissions processes will be explained, and tips given for maximising the chances of applicants.
Why not study abroad?
With the huge cost of studying in the UK, the overseas Higher Education market has become increasingly attractive – particularly European universities which teach in English. We will explore some of the realistic and comparable options.
First Impressions are everything …
… but you must then go on to deliver a convincing interview performance. Lee Paterson will show you exactly how, so that you can pass these key skills on to your applicants. Lee is an extremely entertaining presenter who will make you view yourself differently from this day forwards!
UCAS changes for the future
UCAS has been consulting widely on the future of university admissions, and major changes may lie ahead for 2016, with interim changes for 2013 and 2014. This session offers the chance to hear from UCAS what those proposals are and how they will affect you and your applicants.
