These courses are held in our 25 metre heated indoor pool under the careful supervision of our qualified ASA/RLSS swimming coaches, and the children are transported there by minibus (see map). The information below will help you to choose the most appropriate group. The cost of awards is included in the price of the course. However, it should be noted that due to time restrictions, particularly for the higher groups, awards are NOT necessarily always achieved.

Can swim 10 metres on front and back paddle (not necessarily recognisable strokes). Emphasis on teaching the basic strokes. Working towards Waterskills 2 and 3 (swimming 25m) and developing water confidence.
Those able to swim 25 metres (1 length) on front and back using recognisable basic strokes. working towards ASA Waterskills Awards and distances. Emphasis on improving basic strokes.
Can swim 100 metres using three strokes. Working towards ASA Challenge up to Silver Challenge and Water skills 5. There may be opportunities to attempt distance awards subject to time constraints. The group will be training in deep water for long sessions.
Must have Silver Challenge. Working towards Waterskills 6, Gold and Honours and developing competitive techniques. May achieve School Speed Awards subject to time constraints.
