The Chess Society is open to all on the final three years - in a typical year thirty or so meet weekly and battle for prizes awarded at the end of each term. The standard can best be described as varied, with beginners always welcome. TCRJ runs the Senior club and the House Chess Competition - an annual, hotly-contested event. DC has started a Junior Club which acts to uncover talent in the early years.,
