Extra Curricular > Clubs And Societies > Medical

The Medical Society invites a range of speakers to give advice about (a) getting into Medical School, (b) what to expect once there and (c) the options available when training is complete. Lectures take place in the evening, starting at 7.00 pm in the Earl Lecture Theatre, and they are usually followed by a dinner. Members are entitled to wear the distinguished Society tie, and anyone who is interested in Medicine can apply to join. Membership is normally restricted to the VIth form, but if you have decided on a Medical career before that, then you will be welcome. Occasionally we have a chance to view operations, and there are visits arranged to hospital departments and medical schools.
