Tonbridge is one of the leading independent sailing schools in the country. Sailing is offered three times a week throughout the year to boys of all abilities and experience.

The club sails from Bough Beech reservoir (about 10 minutes by minibus from the school). The school operates fleets of racing and training boats which include RS Feva’s, Fireflies, Bosuns and Toppers.

Tonbridge School is an RYA Recognised Training Centre providing boys with certified training as well as coaching towards regional, national and international Competition.

Tonbridge competes regularly throughout the year against other schools and on the wider open circuit. Each year, Tonbridge jointly hosts the BSDRA International Schools Team Racing Championships and has recently established a programme to help drive young sailors towards National and World Championship competitions.
