The victory over Wellington on the last Saturday of the Michaelmas term concluded an unbeaten season for the 1st XV: played 11, won 11; points for 345, points against 86. This is only the third season since the war in which a Tonbridge 1st XV has been unbeaten, and the first such season to comprise 11 fixtures: the previous unbeaten seasons (10 fixtures) were in 1949 and 1995.
