Thursday 15th September 2005

The Arts Festival is the biggest event in the school's arts calendar and is now recognised as one of the most important arts events in the region. Performers and artists of national and, increasingly, international stature are attracted to perform here.
This year's line-up is the most exciting ever. The festival kicks off with Paperworld from Mim-i-richi, the internationally-renowned troupe of clowns from Kiev, voted the best show on the Edinburgh Fringe 2004. The week continues with Monteverdi's glorious Vespers of 1610, the Reduced Shakespeare Company with their brand new show Completely Hollywood, the City Waites, Roger McGough, Vincent Dance Theatre, Kit and the Widow and Jeremy Hardy. Throughout the week there is a superb exhibition of the work of painter Andrew Hardwick and sculptor Oliver Barratt plus a photography competition. And if all that isn't enough, there is also a range of workshops, each given by leading practitioners in their field, on printmaking, dance, poetry, brass music, cello and mask theatre.
Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy the entertaining, challenging, amusing and provocative programme of events at the Arts Festival 2005.
Events will be taking place between Friday 14th and Friday 21st October. For more details, see the Tonbridge Arts Festival website (external link).
