Academic

To Hong Chan (Sc 2001 - 03) gained a 1st in Materials, Economics & Management from St Anne's, Oxford

Ben Baulf (HS 1998 - 2003) gained a 1st in Greats from University College, Oxford

Jack May (WW 1998 - 2003) got a 1st in Maths & Philosophy from Christ Church, Oxford

James Salmon (WH 1998 - 2003) got a 1st in History at Durham, and his dissertation has been submitted by Durham to the Society for French History's prize competition for the best UK dissertation relating to French History (all started with his French Exchange in Bordeaux!)

Patrick Cooper (PS 2000 - 05) got a 1st in his Honour Mods at St Edmund Hall, Oxford

Bobby Butcher (PH 2000 - 05) was awarded a Distinction in his Preliminary Exams (his result was in the top handful of papers) - he is reading History & Politics at Pembroke, Oxford

Chris Jones (CH 2000 - 05) and Adam Gillett (WH 2001 - 06) have been elected into Senior Exhibitions at Emmanuel, Cambridge

Jeremy Wu (PS 2001 - 06) has been elected to an Open Scholarship in Chemistry at Jesus College, Oxford

Adam Bailey (CH 2001 - 06) received 1st class marks in all 5 of his Part I Economics papers and was ranked amongst the top 3 students at Cambridge

Sport

The Cricket XI won the Cricketer Cup for the 13th time in 41 years, and the 6th time in the last decade, beating Oundle Rovers in the final; and the Rugby XV won the U21 Rugby Festival, in which 36 other schools participated, beating St John's, Leatherhead 19 - 0 in the final

Olly Freeman (SH 1999 - 2004) was selected to the GB squad for the Triathlon World Championships in Hamburg this month. Although a foot injury meant he missed 3 World Cup events and the London Triathlon, his earlier two top ten finishes (6th and 4th) in World Cup events did the trick.

Jonathan Kennard WW 1998 - 2003 came 1st and 2nd in the two Formula 3 races at Spa, in pouring rain, at the end of July, driving for the Raikkonen Robertson Racing team.

Vincent Chau Sc5 scored one of the top 5 marks in AQA Physics

Jacob Sewell WH5 was in the top ten for Edexcel French, out of 5,586 entries

Tom van der Klugt Sc5 was in the top ten for Edexcel Drama & Theatre Studies, out of 9,944 entries

Keith Yeung MH3 and James Kellett OH3 were both in the top ten for Edexcel Physics, out of 4,713 entries: quite exceptional to have two in the top ten!

Alex Wilson OH3 was in the top five in Edexcel Drama, out of an entry of 30,558!

Charles Wright CR11 was in the top ten of 2,878 candidates in Edexcel A2 Spanish

Sport

Hugo Snape PH3 and Oli Durell PH4 were both selected to play for Kent Cricket 2nd XI.

Caspian Paget MH2, Tom Jenner JH2 and Tom Elliott PH2 played for Tunbridge Wells Cricket Club U15 XI which won the final of the National U15 Tournament, with Tom scoring 50 before being retired

Tom Coldman MH1 captained the South of England U13 Cricket team in the holidays
