Tonbridge congratulates those at the Marsh Academy on their major improvements in exam results over the last 12 months.
In 2008 61% of pupils achieved 5 A*-C GCSEs, up from 31% in 2007. This places Marsh in the top 20% of state schools in the UK, up from the 98th percentile previously.
Tonbridge School will continue to support the Marsh Academy, as a partner school. This term teachers from Tonbridge are visiting the Academy on Tuesday afternoons to provide extension classes for Years 10 and 11.
Funding to rebuild 60% of the buildings has now also been confirmed.
