Honorary AS Academic scholarships are awarded to boys in the Upper Sixth not hitherto recognised, if they achieved 270 or better UMS in three of their four subjects. This is a quoted Oxbridge criterion. This enables a boy new to the school in the Lower Sixth or a "late developer" to be recognised as an academic scholar in his final year.
