Organised by sixth formers from Tonbridge School and Weald of Kent Grammar School, the first ever "Tonbridge has Talent" was a huge success. The final charity performance, held in Big School, on Friday February 6th was a sell-out. Nineteen acts from eight different schools performed to an exceptional standard and the 5 local arts judges had a difficult job selecting winners. The students themselves decided which charities they wished to support and £1700 was raised for three charities - Hospice in the Weald, AmaniKids, and Make a Wish Foundation. The evening was deemed such a success that we will be repeating it next year.
Talent show winners:
- Edward Hilsum, of the Judd School, with his magician's act.
- Amy Squirrel, of the Weald of Kent Grammar School, with her vocal rendition of From Yesterday.
- Tom Edkins, of Tonbridge School, with his comedy routine.
