Congratulations to Matthew Yan (JH) who, on the basis of his performance in the Chemistry Olympiad has been invited to this summer’s “Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings”, a conference held in Germany where Nobel laureates and young researchers speak to an invited audience (see lindau-nobel.de).
The Nobel Laureate Meetings provide a globally recognised forum for the transfer of knowledge between generations of scientists. They inspire and motivate Nobel Laureates and international Best Talents. Lectures of Nobel Laureates reflect current scientific topics and present relevant fields of research of the future.
Mathew was invited to attend after he became the top performing Lower Sixth pupil in this year’s Chemistry Olympiad, organised by the Royal Society of Chemistry. He is the only Lower Sixth pupil in the UK to have been invited, and one of only two UK pupils attending overall.
