The 2 weeks annual Tonbridge School British Sub-Aqua Club training trip to the Medas Islands, Costa Brava, Spain saw 34 boys gaining new skills and qualifications.
The boys quickly adapted to the heat, dive boat procedures and, the process of kitting up and doing all the safety checks efficiently. The practical and theoretical aspects of the courses mastered, enjoyment was given over to diving and exploring the abundant flora and fauna of the Marine Reserve around the islands.
New qualifications included:
- 10 New BSAC Ocean Divers
- 10 New BSAC Sports Divers
- 6 New BSAC Dive Leaders
The other divers gained experience with confidence building dives, helping to instruct or doing post qualification experience.
