British Schoolboys’ International Ski Races

The following successes were recorded at the recent British Schoolboys’ International Ski Races at Meiringen, Switzerland:

Tonbridge 1 (Nick Moynihan JH5, George Moynihan JH3 (Capt), Tristan Spencer PS2 and Harry Leek WW2) were runners up to Aiglon College, Switzerland in the Sunday Times Cup which is awarded to the best overall team times over 4 races. Aiglon College have skiing on the curriculum which makes the Tonbridge 1 team’s achievement even more notable!  Tonbridge 2 (Jack Marson-Smith OH4, Dominic Dingle WH2, Henry Thwaite WH4 and Archie Parayre PH2) reached the quarter finals.

Tonbridge 1 were runners up to Reeds in the Team Parallel Race.

Nick Moynihan (JH5) won gold medals in the Giant Slalom and combined Slalom and Giant Slalom races.

Jack Marson-Smith (OH4) won gold as the best unregistered skier in his age group over the Slalom and Giant Slalom. He was also awarded a BASI Ski Instructor Course which is given at the discretion of the Chairman of the Downhill Only Ski Club in Wengen.

Harry Leek (WW2) was the bronze medal winner for unregistered skiers in his age group.
