Introduction

Tonbridge School is one of the leading boys' boarding schools in the country and is highly respected internationally. Boarders and day boys of varying backgrounds are offered an education remarkable both for its breadth of opportunity and the exceptional standards routinely achieved in all areas of school life. The school has stunning facilities and an extensive 150 acre campus, yet it is also an integral part of a busy town.

We hope that Tonbridgians - many of whom will be leaders in their chosen field - will be creative, tolerant and questioning. Boys are encouraged to develop a strong sense of social responsibility, as well as being given the self-belief and purpose to fulfil their own individual potential.

In drafting this plan there has been widespread consultation with Governors, Foundation members, teaching and support staff, boys, parents and OTs. It is intended that the Plan be reviewed annually and a three-year Management Plan, also reviewed annually, will begin to realise the ambitions of this Strategic Plan.
