Success for three Sixth Formers in the Sir Martin Gilbert History Prize
Tonbridge School has 24 departments. Each is led by a Head of Department who meets regularly with his or her team to discuss, amongst other things, the progress of boys, both individually and collectively, the choice of examination board, relevant aspects of pedagogy and developments in the subject.
Heads of Department also meet regularly, in faculties or clusters of similar subjects, with the Director of Studies and the Director of Teaching & Learning to discuss a wide range of academic issues. The Heads of Department also meet termly as a whole with the Headmaster and academic members of the Senior Team.
