Second Year Scholars’ Concert
On Friday 16 January, the Second Year Scholars’ Concert took place in the Recital Room, showcasing the skill and dedication of our emerging talent.
Pupils performed solo repertoire across a wide range of instruments including violin, trumpet, cello, piano, clarinet and saxophone, with each scholar bringing his own musical voice and style to the stage.
Highlights included a lively and expressive performance of The Lark by Glinka, as well as the atmospheric Lamplight by Ned Bennett. The concert also featured Beethoven’s Tempest Sonata, delivered with flair and sensitivity.
With an appreciative audience of parents, staff and fellow pupils, the evening was a celebration not only of technical accomplishment, but of the joy of live performance. It was a clear reminder of the strength and promise of Tonbridge’s musicians in their second year.
