Year 8 November Late Entry Exam
Year 10 (14+) Entry
The closing date for applications is 1 September 2026 for September 2027 entry.
If your son performs well in any screening tests he undertakes or, in the case of UK-based boys has a very strong school report, he will be invited to sit our 14+ entrance exams, either at Tonbridge School, or at an approved test centre.
The examination dates are:
· UK candidates: Thursday 5 November 2026
· Overseas candidates: Saturday 7 November 2026

Please note that, prior to a decision being made, your son’s current school will be contacted directly for a confidential school reference.
Boys who perform well on the entry examination will be offered an online interview in mid-November.
Year 12 (16+) Entry
The initial assessment is either conducted at one of our approved assessment centres, or through a school report for those in UK schools.
If your child performs well in the initial assessment, is predicted strong grades for the end of Year 11 (including predicted grades for GCSE), they will be invited to sit examinations in their chosen A Level subjects, in addition to an English Language Exam. These will take place either at Tonbridge School or at an approved test centre overseas on Saturday 31 October 2026.
Based on the results of these exams, students may be invited to an online interview with a subject specialist teacher.
