Success in the Intermediate Maths Challenge
Many of our boys recently competed in the Intermediate Maths Challenge, providing them with the opportunity to extend their mathematical thinking beyond the classroom.
The challenge consists of a 60-minute, 25-question multiple-choice paper designed to promote mathematical reasoning, precision of thought and fluency.
Special mention in the Novi goes to Ify (WH1), who achieved the highest score of 104 marks out of a possible 135, qualifying for the Cayley round alongside fellow pupils Jarrett (HS1), Leshui (JH1) and Zayd (PS1).
In the Second Year, Harold (MH2) achieved a perfect score, securing qualification for this year’s Hamilton round. He was joined by Ray (PH2), Yoyo (HS2), Max (MH2), Alistair (FH2), George (WH2) and Hunter (WW2).
Success continued into the Third Year, with Noah (JH3) also attaining a perfect score and confirming his place in the Maclaurin round. He was joined by Ardison (PS3), Mario (MH3), Jihan (JH3), Andy (JH3) and Wilson (PH3), who also qualified.
Congratulations to all those who took part in the recent competition, and we wish all the boys the very best as they progress to the next stages.
