Excellence in economics
This year, Robert (JH4), Matthew (FH4), Alexander (WW4), and David (JH4) achieved outstanding success in the regional heat of the UK Economics Olympiad, held at SOAS University of London. Competing against a highly competitive field, they demonstrated exceptional problem-solving skills, economic reasoning, and a deep understanding of global issues.
Their achievement is particularly notable given the scale of the competition. From an initial pool of 4,000 entrants, only 50 students have been selected to progress to the national final, placing these students among the very best young economists in the country.
The Economics Olympiad continues to inspire young minds to think critically about the forces shaping our world, equipping students with the analytical tools and curiosity needed to become the innovators and leaders of tomorrow.
We wish our economists luck in the national finals in June.
