Celebrating our Upper Sixth leavers
The Summer Term brings one of the most significant moments in the School calendar: the Leavers’ Service. This special occasion provides an opportunity for the Tonbridge community to come together and celebrate the achievements of the boys as they prepare to embark on the next stage of their lives beyond the School.
A cherished tradition of the service is the presentation of the Old Tonbridgian tie by Housemasters, symbolising each boy’s transition from current pupil to lifelong member of the Old Tonbridgian community. It is a moment of reflection, marking not only individual accomplishments but also the friendships, experiences and shared memories that have shaped their time at Tonbridge.
Following the service, parents, staff and boys gather in Skinners’ Library Garden for a reception, bringing the evening to a fitting close with a celebration of all they have achieved.
