Paul Goldstein’s Walk to Support Tigers

In 2022, Paul Goldstein (HS 76–80) ran his 25th marathon in his trademark tiger suit — on Mount Everest. Last summer, he took on another extraordinary challenge, walking the equivalent of 25 marathons in 25 days, with hundreds of others joining him along the way.

This year, Paul is walking 1,000 miles for tigers.

His challenge began with a 500-mile walk from Anglesey to Southend-on-Sea, which he completed in some of the highest temperatures of the summer.

Most days will cover the equivalent of a marathon, although the distance has been reduced slightly on some of the most brutally hilly sections.

Headmaster James Priory joined Paul for part of his journey, walking alongside him from Swanage to Kimmeridge along the Jurassic Coast in support of Paul’s mission.

The money raised through Paul’s challenge supports practical conservation work to help protect wild tigers, which continue to face serious threats from poaching, habitat loss and exploitation.

So far, more than £36,300 has been raised towards vital tiger conservation efforts.
