Smythe sets the pace as The CRAS makes a welcome return

Hundreds of boys took part in the annual Tonbridge cross-country race, The CRAS, on Thursday (3 March). This popular and fun House competition was making a welcome return to the School calendar, taking place on the School fields for the first time since 2019.

Boys from Smythe House took the top honours, finishing as overall winners.

The top teams across the three age categories of Novi (First Year), Inter (Years Two and Three) and Seniors (Sixth Form) were Oakeshott House (winners of the Novi event) and Smythe (winners of both the Inter and Senior races).

In the individual events, School House put in a strong showing, with Mani Tomazos (Sc1) winning the Novi race and Zach Gibbon (Sc3) the Inter. Max Selby (WH5) came first in the Senior event. A good number of Tonbridge teaching and support staff also took part in the various races.

The full results are as follows.

2nd: Smythe
3rd: School

Inter:
1st: Smythe
2nd: Welldon
3rd: Oakeshott

Senior:
1st: Smythe
2nd: Hill Side
3rd: Welldon

Individual events:
Novi:
1st: Mani Tomazos (Sc1)
2nd: James Ferry (SH1)
3rd: Will Morrison (OH1)

Inter:
1st: Zach Gibbon (Sc3)
2nd: Oscar McIlwham (PS3)
3rd: Ben Willett (WW2)

Senior:
1st: Max Selby (WH5)
2nd: Joe Baldwin (HS5)
3rd: George Thomas (CH4)

Overall winners: Smythe House.
