The School offers a vibrant and balanced co-curricular programme encompassing drama, music, sport, outdoor education and many other activities to underpin a culture of creativity, innovation and excellence, but also to provide opportunities for service to others, self-reliance and leadership.
A rich and varied co-curriculum
The School’s co-curricular programme is one of the outstanding features of a Tonbridge education.
Pupils across the School have the opportunity to take part in an incredible range of co-curricular activities that take them outside of the classroom allowing them to develop new interests and talents.
‘Pursuits’ (clubs and societies) take place on Monday and Fridays while every Wednesday afternoon is set aside for an activity programme where boys choose from a range of options that allow them to build leadership and communication skills.
Pupils develop into very well-rounded individuals through the School’s broad and extensive range of educational and recreational opportunities. Pupils discover new interests and talents. They flourish academically, socially and physically. The balance between rigorous academic studies and enriching co-curricular activities prepares pupils for future success, giving them the leadership skills and experience necessary to thrive in life beyond School.
Our super curriculum
The Super curriculum is our opportunity to take the journey outside of the boundaries of GCSE or A- level.
By its nature, this is therefore led by the interests of a particular cohort and the teachers working with them. It might culminate in a series of talks delivered by students, a published collection of essays or poetry or with participation in Olympiad competitions.
