Tonbridge students’ win more places year on year at top QS World University ranked destinations
Tonbridge students continue to achieve outstanding success, with increasing numbers securing places at the world’s most prestigious universities, as ranked in the newly released updated QS World University Rankings 2026.
The QS Rankings are among the most respected global measures of university excellence, evaluating institutions across a range of key metrics, including academic and employer reputation, research output, student experience, faculty credentials, and international partnerships.
Tonbridge students’ success in gaining places at these top universities has grown significantly over the past five years. From 2019 to 2024, the percentage of students accepting places at QS Top 100 universities has risen from 50% to 71%. Offers from Top 50 institutions increased from 25% to 48%, and those from Top 10 universities nearly doubled, from 13% to 22%.
This upward trend has continued in the most recent application cycle. Among current Year 13 students:
- 61% of all university offers come from QS Top 100 universities
- 27% are from the Top 50 institutions
- 10% are from the Top 10-ranked universities
These figures reflect not only the ambition and academic strength of Tonbridge students but also the school’s commitment to supporting their university aspirations on a global scale.
