A successful Praes induction with Benenden School
Following the appointment of next year’s Praes, the boys participated in a joint induction day with the Benenden Grey Jumpers (Benenden School Praes), which included leadership and character-building exercises designed to support their transition into their new roles.
The group undertook practical activities requiring collaboration, teamwork and communication on the Lower Hundreds. This was supplemented by a seminar on voice projection aimed at enhancing their communication skills further.
The session concluded with a seminar on self-care, mindfulness, and coping with imposter syndrome. An exploration of such topics was included to help the group manage the demands of their new roles, while enhancing their existing skills.
To round off a successful and enriching day, the Praes enjoyed a barbeque in the Smythe Library garden which provided the perfect opportunity to relax and connect with their Benenden counterparts.
Head of School, Eto (Sc4), said “It was great to meet the Grey Jumpers yesterday, and the Tonbridge prefect team really enjoyed the day.”
