Packed programme for boys on Novi Visit Day

More than 140 boys had a taste of life at Tonbridge School when they took part in the Novi Visit Day on Thursday 28 and Friday 29 March.

The boys, who are all starting at the school this September as First Years – or ‘Novi’ – joined in a huge range of academic and co-curricular activities, met teaching staff and fellow classmates, toured the campus and started to become familiar with their new surroundings.

Over a day and a half, boys had an introduction to History, Science, Languages, Music, Drama and Design Technology at Tonbridge, and sampled sports including hockey, basketball, badminton, squash and fives.

Boys who are going to be boarders at the school stayed overnight in their new Houses, and the event culminated in a choral and orchestral performance for parents on Friday afternoon, in which all boys took part.

Andrew Leale, the school’s Director of Admissions, said: “The Novi Visit is a wonderful opportunity for next year’s new boys to enjoy themselves, have fun, and to immediately start to settle into school life. They can explore the hugely diverse programme of co-curricular activities available to them and, we hope, begin to discover some exciting new interests.

“The boys have also started making firm friendships with one another and we look forward to seeing them all again in September.”
