Rising star Ben takes hotseat for second sports webinar

Emerging England rugby star Ben Earl is the special guest in the second edition of the Tonbridge School webinar series.

Chris Morgan, the school’s Director of Sport, will be in conversation with former Tonbridge pupil Ben on Wednesday 6 May from 4.15pm.

All are welcome to join the session, which is taking place via Zoom. Questions can be emailed to Chris in advance at Christopher.Morgan@tonbridge-school.org or can be asked ‘live’ during the webinar.

Having been capped at U16, U18 and U20 level, Saracens forward Ben made his senior England debut in February 2020 against Scotland in the Guinness Six Nations (as pictured) – just three and a half years after leaving school.

Ben currently studies comparative literature at Queen Mary University and in the webinar he will be sharing some memories of his days at Tonbridge (JH 2011-16).

The webinars feature former Tonbridge pupils who have made a name in the sporting world. The first in the series, on 29 April, saw Kent and England cricketer Zak Crawley (WH 2011-16) chat about his exciting career to date and his experiences of breaking into the England Test side.

Ben and Zak were featured in the Sunday Times on 26 April. The article can be read here.

For more about the webinar and how to join in, see Tonbridge Connect.

Details of future webinars and guests are to be confirmed soon.
