Tonbridge’s positive action recognised with Sustainability in Boarding award

Tonbridge School was presented with the Sustainability in Boarding Award at this year’s Boarding School Association Supporting Excellence Awards. This is particularly significant given that the field of entrants was the largest the BSA have received.

Designed to celebrate those making a meaningful difference within the boarding community, this award recognises the School’s determination to take positive action against carbon emissions and embrace broader aspects of environmental sustainability.

Tonbridge’s comprehensive approach demonstrates how education, practical action, and community partnerships can drive environmental progress and inspire a more sustainable future. Our initiatives have significantly reduced the School’s carbon footprint and enhanced biodiversity on campus.

Environmental topics are also woven into the curriculum to ensure that sustainability becomes a core part of every student’s education, equipping them with the knowledge and desire to lead change.
