Collaboration with Physics Partners supports physics education
Each year, the School is proud to work with educational charity Physics Partners, dedicated to supporting experienced teachers, new teachers, non-specialist teachers, as well as technicians in state secondary schools through practical, hands-on training.
Throughout the year, Physics teacher, Ralph Fleming, delivered nine expert-led workshops covering a wide range of A Level topics, including Radioactivity and the Particle Model of Matter.
Ralph said, “Tonbridge School is fortunate to have outstanding resources for Physics, including brilliant teachers, excellent technicians, top-quality equipment, and cutting-edge facilities. Given the subject’s national significance, it is vital that we share our expertise with the wider community. Teachers and technicians not only gain practical insights into making the most of available resources but also leave equipped with ideas to bring real-world relevance to their classrooms. It has been a privilege to see so many dedicated educators come together, exchange ideas, and build their capacity to inspire the next generation.”
Following the recent successes of the School’s Science Technicians’ Conference, celebrating Techognition and ongoing collaboration with Physics Partners, the Science Department continues its commitment to promoting excellence in science education across the wider community.
