IStip Training Day

The School was pleased to host an IStip Training Day for Early Career Teachers (ECTs). IStip is the organisation responsible for overseeing the support provided to recently qualified teachers in independent schools during the early stages of their careers.

As one of IStip’s Regional Training Centres, Tonbridge provides three training days for each ECT. This session was facilitated by Mike Carter, a body language expert, who offered valuable insights into making the most of non-verbal communication.

Tonbridge aims to provide a caring and enlightened environment in which the talents of each individual can flourish, a commitment reflected in the School’s outstanding record of regular professional development for staff, which is both actively encouraged and well supported.
