Celebrating the power of partnerships
This week, Tonbridge School is marking Independent Schools Council Partnerships Week by highlighting some of the collaborative work taking place across our community. Over the last year, we have partnered with 23 local schools, as well as care homes, community groups and charities, engaging with more than 4,000 people.
These partnerships provide shared opportunities for learning and creativity. Through mentoring and reading programmes, science workshops, cookery classes and weekly volunteering as part of Tonbridge Community Action, our students work alongside younger learners at schools including Nexus School, Royal Rise Primary School and Long Mead Community Primary School.
The connections formed through these projects help all students gain confidence, try new activities and learn from one another. Many initiatives have been running for several years and continue to evolve as the partnerships develop.
This week offers a chance to recognise the positive impact of this work and to thank the staff, pupils and community members who make these collaborations possible.
