Outstanding success in National Mathematics Competition
Congratulations to the exceptional results achieved by our pupils in the first round of the British Mathematical Olympiad (BMO1), with many students placing among the top mathematicians nationwide.
At the highest level, three pupils were awarded national medals, an impressive achievement given the scale and competitiveness of the competition. Alex (CH5) secured a Gold Medal, placing him among the top 20 students in the country. Justin (JH5) earned a Silver Medal, awarded to the next 30 highest-scoring students, while Ethan (JH5) received a Bronze Medal, placing him within the next 50 nationwide.
Beyond the medals, we are proud to recognise six pupils who achieved Distinctions, awarded to the top 25% of all participants. Congratulations go to Ardi (PS3), James (SH4), Enoch (PS4), Yijun (PH4), Michael (HS4) and Joe (FH5).
As a further mark of success, four pupils have qualified for the British Mathematical Olympiad Round 2 (BMO2): the three medallists, Alex, Justin and Ethan, alongside Yijun. The BMO2 will take place in late January, and we wish them the very best as they prepare for this next stage.
