Octagon Concert: Woodwind and Brass
The penultimate Octagon Concert of this academic year took place on Friday 19 June in the Recital Room. First and Second Year pupils from the Woodwind and Brass Department congregated to perform solo pieces on clarinet, trumpet, trombone and alto saxophone. The Concert Band closed the concert with a catchy medley of James Bond classics, arranged by Ken Dye, expertly conducted by Stephen Rhind, Head of Woodwind, Brass, Percussion and Studio.
Our weekly Octagon Concerts focus on a specific instrument or instrumental family, providing the opportunity for all boys to build their confidence in performing to a friendly audience comprising peers and staff, supported by their specialist music teachers.
