Third Year pupils take part in Careers Simulations Day
On Wednesday 24 June, our Third Year boys took part in an immersive in-School Careers Simulations Day, delivered by Crawford & Corry.
A team of Oxbridge tutors and students led three dynamic simulations in the fields of Finance, Law, and STEM, which allowed pupils to experience real-world professional challenges.
In the Finance simulation, teams created and managed their own hedge fund portfolios, made strategic investment decisions, and responded to unfolding market events. The Law participants were divided into corporate legal teams and advised stakeholders of an investment bank on the brink of collapse in a high-pressure environment that demanded teamwork and critical thinking.
Meanwhile, the STEM group tackled a live aeroplane emergency simulation. Working as medics, engineers, and IT specialists, they collaborated to bring an aircraft safely home after it had encountered severe weather conditions.
The visiting team praised the boys for their impressive ability and engagement throughout the day. In turn, the pupils described the experience as insightful, commenting that they had learned a great deal through a series of enjoyable scenarios.
