Gold for the UK in the International Chemistry Olympiad

Yijun (PH4) recently competed in the International Chemistry Olympiad (ICHO) representing the UK team in Uzbekistan.

Competing as part of a four-student team, Yijun was the only member to receive a gold medal, placing him 34th out of 363 competitors.

Reflecting on his experience, Yijun said, “For me, the best aspect of the Olympiad was the chance to meet other students with a talent and passion for chemistry from around the world. It was great fun to exchange conversations and gifts with them and to see their minds at work in the exams.”

Congratulations to Yijun on this amazing achievement, and we wish him continued success as he represents the UK in the International Olympiad of Artificial Intelligence (IOAI) in Kazakhstan later this summer.
