Insights into Oxbridge

The Oxbridge Information Evening is designed to help our Lower Sixth students make an informed decision about applying to Oxford or Cambridge as they start to consider their future next steps.

We were delighted to welcome Mike Nicholson, Director of Recruitment, Admissions and Participation at the University of Cambridge and Dr Michael Sutherland, Senior Tutor; Director of Studies in Natural Sciences (Physics) at Trinity Hall, Cambridge. They shared insights and guidance on the application process, the importance of super curricular activities to demonstrate genuine subject interest as well as advice on preparing for admissions tests and interviews. Several OTs joined our Q&A panel to share their first-hand experience of applying and studying at Oxbridge.

Additional subject specific seminars outlined the bespoke support and preparation available across the School. The evening is just one of the ways we support our students with finding the university destination that matches their strengths, passions, and aspirations.
