Tonbridge pupils immerse themselves in French life in Montpellier
Second and Third Year pupils enjoyed an immersive experience of French language and culture during our third French Homestay trip to Montpellier.
The pupils took part in active and communicative language lessons each morning, putting their French into practice by interviewing local people in the streets and shops. Staying with host families offered further opportunities to develop their language skills while experiencing everyday French life and culture.
Pupils explored Montpellier and nearby Nîmes, took part in an art treasure hunt at the Musée Fabre, attended Montpellier’s first volleyball match of the season, and hiked to the summit of Pic Saint-Loup.
The trip provided a memorable opportunity for pupils to build their confidence in speaking French while discovering the culture, history and landscapes of southern France.
