Tonbridge boys explore university life in California
During the October half term, a group of Tonbridge pupils travelled to California for a tour of some of the USA’s leading universities.
Over eight days, pupils visited ten university campuses, including UCLA, the University of Southern California, Loyola Marymount, UC Berkeley and Stanford. The tour offered valuable insight into American higher education, campus life and the university admissions process, with Loyola Marymount emerging as an unexpected favourite.
Travelling from Los Angeles to San Francisco, pupils had the opportunity to experience some of California’s best-known sights, including the Hollywood Sign, Venice Beach and Alcatraz Island.
The trip gave pupils the chance to explore different academic pathways, experience university life on the West Coast and gain a broader understanding of studying in the United States.
