Living Food and nutrition

Food and nutrition

We operate a House dining system rather than a centralised dining approach where all boys eat in their own dining room as a House. This ensures there is at least one contact point for all boys with their Housemaster, and for boarders, three times a day with the Matron as well.

House dining creates a family-feel to mealtimes, breaks the School into smaller manageable units where the boys get to know each other well and the staff them, and so much more.

Boys can invite staff to join them for lunch; tutors eat at least once a week with their tutor group and house staff eat with them at every mealtime.  House dining is an important part of our pastoral care as well as for fuelling the boys for their busy lives at School.

We are proud to work with Chartwells Independent to deliver outstanding catering experiences to all our pupils. Chartwells Independent prides themselves on being more than independent school caterers; they’re feeding the future generation with inspiring food and outstanding educational experiences.

Chartwells Independent believe in making nutritious food accessible to every student they work alongside, taking onboard their feedback, to fuel performance, encourage success and help them realise their full potential through truly memorable mealtimes.

You can contact the medical diet nutrition team directly via this email address.
