Tonbridge School is proud to be at the forefront of raising the profile and recognition of science technicians, and we are excited to continue building this important community.
Welcoming 140 technicians in 2025 from 64 schools, our aim is to make Tonbridge School’s world-class Barton Science Centre not only a hub for students, but also for the science technicians who are essential in enabling practical work to happen.
What to expect in 2026
Our slogan, “Tonbridge School Connecting Technicians,” reflects this vision. The convention provides an opportunity for technicians to:
- Build connections and expand professional networks
- Share ideas and learn new skills
- Explore how to raise the profile of technicians in schools, both financially and professionally
- Take part in engaging hands-on workshops
- Meet suppliers and trial new equipment before purchasing
- Discover the full list of workshops and seminars here.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made after 20 March, or failure to attend on the event day (27 March), will incur a £25 charge, which will be invoiced to your institution.
Thank you to our sponsors
The generosity of Physics Partners and Colyer Fergusson Charitable Trust has enabled us to expand the conference, providing more spaces for technicians from across the state sector. Physics Partners are, in turn, supported by the Colyer Fergusson Charitable Trust.
