The Novi impress audiences with their rendition of Lord of the Flies

Throughout this term, 14 brave Novi worked hard in the EM Forster Studio Theatre to produce an abridged version of Lord of the Flies, celebrating the 70th anniversary of William Golding’s widely read novel. Through their talent and dedication, what the boys delivered over the course of a two-night programme was nothing short of impressive.

Those in attendance commented not only of on the performance of the boys but how the costumes, lighting, and sound design added a professional touch, enhanced the atmosphere, and immersed the audience turning EM Forster’s Studio Theatre into the raw and untamed world of the island.

Director in Residence, Hannah Vowles, who guided the boys throughout their acting journey said ‘I am incredibly proud of the work the Novi boys produced through this ambitious project. They definitely rose to the occasion with energy and enthusiasm, delivering a truly memorable production.

This experience has not only highlighted the talent and dedication of the Novi but has also been a deeply rewarding journey for me as a Director. I look forward to our Junior production of Peter Pan which we will begin rehearsing in the Lent Term.’

Congratulations to Edward, Max, Freddie, Alexander, Rocco, Wilbur, Kaloyan, Savva, James F, Rory, Jonathon, Murad, James R and Joe for their captivating performances in bringing their version of the play to life.
