The Second Year Scholars’ Concert stunned Audiences
The Second Year Scholars’ Concert took place on Friday 17 January at 7.30pm in the Recital Room.
Mark Forkgen, Director of Music, introduced the performers and welcomed Laurence Long, who was appointed as Organist and Accompanist in Residence last term. As well as playing the organ for Chapel services, Laurence also supports students in their instrumental lessons, teaches the organ and accompanies the boys for concerts. Prior to joining Tonbridge, he played in numerous London churches, including All Saints Margaret Street.
An appreciative audience of fellow pupils, parents, Music teachers, Housemasters and Matrons enjoyed performances on the piano, harpsichord, trumpet, bassoon, viola, horn, cello, saxophone and voice.
Congratulations to all those who took part – it was fantastic to end the week on a high!
